I normally wouldn't spend this much on a sub, but I sold my old dual 12" type R setup in the glossy black 5 cubes @ 34hz box for $400 making a nice profit.

Got the 1st coat of black lacquer on the primered port, I'll do one more coat and let it cure for 3 days then wetsand it to a shine like my old box. LOL, this will be probably be the shinest port ever made ...

I just finished spraying the 2nd coat of black lacquer on the port tonght, keep in mind it isn't a mirror finish yet because I still have to wetsand it with 2000grit once it cures. I'm very happy with how even and level the paint is spraying on...

LOL LiL_KB, no I didn't give up. I wasn't at my house this weekend to work on it, but I did get alot done last night when I got home. I actually nailed and glued the entire box together and made a double baffle for it.

Tonight I plan on rounding some corners of the box and making the cutout hole for the 18" BTL.

I still need to prep the box by sanding and putting woodfiller / bondo on all of the cut edges. Once that is done I will primer it then start layering coats of black lacquer on it.

Sorry for no shinny box pics yet. Although I will post pics later this evening of what I complete tonight.
