I know, I've completely gone off my tasklist with painting it.
I kinda want to build another box before I decide to do my glossy black paint process which takes like 7 days to complete. Once I test out both box's I will choose my favorite and paint that one.
Right now my box is tuned at 32hz with 100sq.in. of port, but sounds more like it's tuned at 36hz because it gets hella loud between 35-40hz and doest have as much oomph at the 30hz range as I want. I know for th DB's you want it loud at 36-40hz range, but I want to try a design that will really hits on the 28hz to 33hz range focusing on killer lows.
Here's my dims of my current box...
Outter Dims:
37x26x19
My Cut's:
Bottom and Top: 37 x 26
Right Side: 24.5 x 17.5
Left Side: 25.25 x 17.5
Front: 30.5 x 17.5
Back: 37 x 17.5
Port:
18.75 x 17.75
5 x 17.5
The sub takes up .26
So thats about 6.6 cubes after sub and port, tuned to 32hz with 100sq.in. of port right?
Any ideas on what to do for my next design? I want it to really hit stong on the 28hz to 30hz range focusing on killer lows. I'm thinking of doing a design where I can have one big straign port out the side of the box and have the sub fire up, the sub would be located close to the port.
Oh ya I spent a couple hours tweaking all settings on HU and amp and setting the gains just right, lol I probably spent too much time on it. There really isnt much wrong with how it hits the lows now, I'm just nit picking at what I hear.Have you tried playing with tuning your HU or EQ (if you have one?)?
I know I wasn't super impressed with the lowend on my current box but then I started fine tuning it and bam...it sounds so much better to me now....just took a bit of tweaking...

I have an EPIC-150 (Epicenter + db meter)....not worth it in my opinionOh ya I spent a couple hours tweaking all settings on HU and amp and setting the gains just right, lol I probably spent too much time on it. I've been thinking of getting a Bass Reconstruction Processor, anyone ever try one of these out?
