12" sub for Limited Space

Hey all,

Been a long time since I have posted on here but I built a box for a friend of mine a while back assuming that he was going to load it with 4 12" Adire Koda's. Seeing as Adire is no longer in business and he is unable to track them down (seems like a good thing from what I have read) we are looking for some subs to load this box. Trying to find decent subs that have a mounting depth of less than 5-3/8" and require at the very most 0.7^3 feet of air space sealed.

I know you guys are the knowledge base, this is what we have looked at so far but definitly open to suggestions or reviews of what we are considering...

-->Pioneer Shallow 12"

-->Earthquake 12" Shallow Mount

-->Orion 12"

-->Kicker Shallow 12"

looked at just about every other shallow mount or standard 12 to see what we can find, but can't seem to find too many options. Looks like learning towards teh Earthquake at the moment. But looking to hear some opinions. Thanks Guys

Thats a pretty steep set of constraints, but out of what you listed I would probably go Orion or Kicker.

Heard good things about the Daytons. They are right at 5-3/8" depth according to the specs. Rather pretty subs as well.

Yea they sure are tight constraints. My friend has his mind set on 4 12's under the back seat of his extended cab chevy. So I guess its kind of a challenge of sorts, we already know we have to lift the seat at least 2" just to make this work.

Thanks for the suggestion. I remember hearing good things about those drivers as well. Going to add them to the list and hopefully get this thing finished up soon.

Just did a little more searching and found this thread here http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=244931 Looks like the kickers are gettin good reviews. Just wondering if anyone knows how they would sound being givin only about 0.7^3 at the most. Well the research continues. I'll keep the updates comin when I have new stuff...
