10's or 8's...worried about low end.

I thought that was just how many screws you actually used, not the amount the frame could accomodate.
You have to use galvanized nails for this to work. You pound in one half way for a .5 ohm load.

I prefer to just use liquid nail. Makes for a 0 ohm load so I can get maximum power out of my amps. that's what the peak wattage really is for.

to clear up some of the mounting hole/ohms misunderstanding...

mounting holes do not = ohms. if you are mechanically inclined, you can GENTLY open up the moving part of a woofer and extract some of the ohms, this is the reason why many people think that 8 ohm woofers are better than lower ohm woofers, because you can get whatever ohms you need out of them (but be careful not to lose them, otherwise it will be hard to sell a woofer with missing ohms when you are done with it...).

the old school Cerwin Vega strokers actually had an ohms adjuster in the middle of it, so that it could be eaiser to tune for your system, thus why many people liked them for SPL.

and one last //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif - the correct verbage is "ohms", so do not try to correct me and tell me its resistance or inductance. resistance and inductance are measurable units, ohms are nouns.

hopefully someone will learn something from this post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lmao that was good. we like to put or ohms in a bucket for safe keeping. then we ask the newb to go find the bucket of ohms for this next install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif its next to the cups of steam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ummmm . . . . . . . . is this serious or a joke, i can't tell.

Here's the set up i'm running in my truck right now. If you all will notice there's no midbass behind my seat.
No midbass, but a joke.. none-the-less. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

my mid-bass > yours.

ha ha ok...this thread is gettin outta hand. im really thinking about 3 8's ported. gonna be tough to do with the space i have, but ill find a way. I guess i'll have to have the port(s) on the side because the top of the back seat touches the rear wall, so no port on top. And i cant have the port on the front because of the seat being right there. ****, i hope a nine.1 and a nine.4 will fit under the rear seats, or the front seats, that could be a problem. God im gonna miss my Jeep...
