im gona be running a 2 ohm dvc 12" type R off a 1200wwatt mono amp which gives 1200@ 1 ohm.... im gonna wire at one ohm n put it in a 1.02 cu ft slot prted box.... do yall think it will hit hard?

box is way too small generally folks have been sticking with 1.75-2.5ft ported

yup 2ft^3 to 2.5ft^3 tuned to 32-35Hz with no less then 30sqin of port area.

Look in the enclosure design section and click on Moe Lesters box plans sticky.

doubt it..... this is what i got to work with something that is no more than 19 inches wide X 13" deep X 13.75 inches tall..... im facing it up so in reality the box height is the width.... the restriction is the narrowness of where ima put it...... i dont need like bass that will knock ur clothes off i just want sum nice umph but when my friends wanna battle i got a lil sum sum.... BTW i heard the type of music should go with the setup.. i listen to rap n techno/trance..... both got some mean bass to em.... if i listen to that would it be better sealed or ported..... wat if instead i went with one 10 or 12 L5 in a sealed would that work for my music? sorry for being everywhere about this but im just tryin to get the best with my limits :-/ i will get a pic of my space asap so u can se more less

never tried them period.... the 12 is going in the back seat of an ext cab f-150 behind my driver seat so i can sit two peeps on the rest of the bench on the right..... im lifting the single seat part up to put it in that little slot here let me get some pics for ya

hmm thats only about 1.3 cuft. useing 3/4 in wood.

Tho someone double check real quick.

with that small of an enclosure with the type r stay sealed.

edit: you did state what vehicle it was in, lol.

im runing a 10" type r off JL 500/1 in a .75 cuft sealed with 50% polyfill in a single cab truck and it hits the lows very strongly. im satisfied.

check this url out this is what i got to work with.... and as u seee the length 19 "/ width goes down as it gets taller/ deeper cuz my pimp chair is in the way lol

would it make a difference if i had a 10 in a slot ported rather than a 12 since the 10 has a smaller cone it has more air in the box? what about a sealed L5? 12
