'04 Taurus - First Build

This has been an ongoing build for a while, I'll post up a bunch of the pictures I have. I'll try to keep them in chronological order for the most part.

In the meantime, I'll list my setup.

Head unit: Pioneer DEH-500UB in Metra dash kit

Front Stage: WCC 6.5 components (rebranded Diamond 662)

Front Stage Amp: Old School Sherwood XA-1240Q

Rear fill: Removed

Substage: 2 American Bass XFL

Enclosure: SMS 4 cubes tuned to 33Hz, red kerf port, flush mount

Sub Amp: HFi2500D (up for upgrade after electrical is finished)

Electrical: Stock alt (mechman 240a being ordered as we speak), wet cell battery (Duracell AGM from Sam's going in within the next month), KnuKonceptz KCA big 3, one run of KCA 1/0, one run of Kolossus 8ga

Other: xScorpion voltmeter (being replaced, refresh rate is too fast), 40Sqft of AT deadener, 2sqft of Knu Kol deadener (spoiler), siliconed down license plate to deaden vibrations, false trunk floor (to increase SPL and give solid mounting surface)

Decided my front stage was lacking, added component set, amp, and false floor

"fabricated" aftermarket tweeters into stock tweeter location

6x8 to 6.5 adapters

Installed tweeters

False floor begins

Floor and amps go back in

Box goes in

To accommodate the extra amp, new head unit goes in

Sound deadening begins

Scooted box further back, it is audibly louder
