My Pioneer sub called for a 3x3.5 round. It was very noisy so I modified the box to sealed. Maybe an aeroport would have made a difference.
Maybe you should fabricate an enclosure of 0.9 cubes with that size aeroport for testing before modifying the vehicle specific box.

I know. I used to run skar. I had their amps and subs. Only had one issue in which their customer service resolved immediately. Bought an amp that was dead on arrival. They sent me a new one right away.
