Completed Shallow 10

Looking for shallow mount 10, dual 4 or dual 2, mounting depth no more than 3.5”. Cut out no bigger than 9 1/8 or 9.125. Budget $200
Have you scutinized the Pioneer shallows?

.125 inches bigger than specs asked but ok depth wise. $129 seems compelling and their other other subs perform well

Maximum enclosure is .7, I’d be at .9. RMS is 400 I would be at 300. So wonder how it would sound
Oversize is not an issue as you can fill in with a temporary dividing wall.
As for the lower power, it is also not an issue. I got an old 12" Pioneer in a 0.8 sealed and it sounds better at a lower volume than the RMS.
$100 is a good deal, snatch it up. If it does not meet your expectations, you can sell it at the same price.

Should do good...the slightly larger box should let it play a touch lower and you'd never hear the difference between 300 and 400 watts anyways

Going with 10's that are no more than 3.5" deep, you might as well go with 8" subs and port the box. You'll get more sound out of it. The 8" Kicker L7T's will pound pretty good in a ported box.

This is an SQ install. 3 way component set up front. CDT CL-69SUB CF, in front doors, Unity 7.5 in dash, Stereo Integrity M25 MKII tweeter in pods. CDT coaxials in rear doors.

An 8" ported box will still sound amazing, if it's ported right. A 10" SQ sub for $200 that is 3.5" deep and a cut out at about 9-1/8" are slim pickings. JLA would be really nice, but they are pricey.
