Not sure if ill get traction here or if I should make a new thread...
Now that the sub is handled.
I know I want / getting a dsp, & going with Focal Flax's.
There 3 way component locations in the front, door 6.5" woofer, dash 3-3.5" mid, & since it has the factory jbl system has some sweet factory tweeter grills / locations in the a-pillars..
Will be going with coaxials in the rear doors
& then the single sub
My question is how extreme do we get with the dsp?
Im clueless when it comes to this...
I dont need a $10K system but want it to sound great & really want to hear the advantage "sound stage" of the dsp..
Alot of guys are saying 2 way components are plenty loud & sufficient for this small truck..
So if I do a dsp for every channel & go with the 3 way components up front, thats 9 ch dsp...
Is there a compromise where ill still get an amazing outcome?
At first before thinking separate dsp we were thinking the alpine pxe c80 8ch dsp amp, shop thinks wont really be sufficient giving the 12 sub what it needs vs the 10 we initially planned on.
then theres the jl audio vx1000/5i
shop was also discussing if we truly go all out dsp 1 ch per speaker, were looking at masconi or helix dsp..
educate me....

the 12 channel down4sound dsp is supposed to be dead silent and there's the minidsp 8x12 that is pretty well known (I got a minidsp 8x12 for my delta if the install ever gets back on track)

And honestly location, install, and tune will matter more than than actual speakers for sq in all honesty
