2024 tacoma underseat SUB 10tw3 vs 12tw3???help!!!

That rear seat mounting looks very obstructive, like the nuances will be muffled by the proximity of the seat's back. Not conducive to an SQ oriented build.

Are you talking in general or as close as that speaker is to rubbing the rear seat in the pic?
That’s a prototype box.
The finished design may be half an inch away from hitting the seat possibly. Would that effect your pick or same?
Appreciate you taking the time!
Im obviously spinning in my head over this, want to make the smarter choice so there’s no regrets& sounds great!

Building box behind seat isn’t an option, the taco tunes box was 3d scanned…
There’s a lot going on back there, power window slider motor, seatbelt ratchets, etc.
That’s why it will be a molded enclosure.
Have a shop suggesting building an underseat enclosure similar to gs & do

2 8’s under the seat.
Just figured the ground shaker with a 12 could be an alright option…
But I think about the rear of seat option.

I mean in general. I know your's is not single cab but every single cab behind the seat mounted sub I have come across has either rubbed or been strictly for booming. Good boomy tactile bass but on the muffled side.
Now for the composition vs wood argument; JL makes vehicle specific boxes out of fiberglass and they sound very dang good. SAS Bazooka made platic tubes loaded with subs that also sounded awesome with incredible detail. So as long as the material is rigid and the enclosure is sub specific, it should sound great. Remember that most sub specific enclosures are made to sound flat and not boom heavy.

10” Jl stealth box for the 23 Tacoma didn’t impress me , but no idea what it had for power. Was boomy but couldn’t feel it much.
People rave about them though, not in production for a 24 redesign.
I remember the bazooka tubes, had 2 10’s in a 95 mustang trunk…

Seems to me the GS underseat would be the best option. The TT behind the seat enclosure seems limited to a 10" and I wonder how high they have to tune to make that limited space work.

I like the concept of the clean install of being behind the seat as that area definitely won’t be utilized for anything else, but one benefit to under the seat is, I can always raise the lower seat cushion in the up position unobstructing the sub....
rear seating will not be utilized for passengers very often....
I think im done mind-******* myself & ok with the 12" underseat option...
