2014 Silverado speakers fuzzy.

Hey everyone thanks for any help you guys offer. I know nothing about car audio. I have a 14 Silverado with the powerbass speakers. My front passenger 6x9 and my front right dash tweeter blew or so I thought one day. I purchased JBL Stage3 Front & Rear Door Coax Speakers as direct replacements.. After replacing both are still sound blown. I took both out and moved them to the driver side and they are fine. It's just the front passinger side. Even the back passenger door works fine. Like I said I know nothing about car audio a friend told me to get an amp because a channel? In the head unit might be out?? Idk what that means but any help I greatly appreciate. I just want my speakers to work I don't need a sub or anything. One more thing the guy that had it before has wired new mirrors a light bar a light strip and he also had one of those little under the seat subs. The wires still there sub gone. All wires he ran are twisted and electrical taped...

Yes, your right channel probably dead. Do you have the Bose option?

If the rear door is working, I would trace the wiring from the front door to the headunit. That may require you to remove the headunit. The previous owner may have cut some wiring. Or, the headunit is 10 years old and may need to be replaced. Good luck.

Rear door working great just two font passinger side ones. I'll pull the headunit and trace both speaker wires to it tomorrow. Thank you.

The problem is with your head unit if you don't have a factory amp.

Also perhaps check for a pinched speaker wire for that speaker. A speaker wire partially shorted to the chassis could possibly still produce sound but not as it should. Since the speakers were already swapped it might be a good idea to inspect the install / wiring, especially to make sure, to not damage a new head unit or amp.

Ok good deal I'll be doing that in the am. Trying to fix all the crap wiring the previous owner did. Got seat problems lights dim sometimes. Good stuff thank for the help.

The issue with an amplifier is that it receives its signal from the head unit. If the head unit is the problem, the amplifier will not receive the proper signal to send to all your speakers. If it's your wiring, you will have the tedious task of running speaker wire from the amplifier to the speakers. The door loom in many cars is a monster. I wouldn't make any purchases until you identify the problem.

The last guy skipped around the looms lol so yeah guess they were to mu h for him to
