Different ohms on subwoofers.

I have two kicker DVC comp R 12s, one is 2 ohm. The other is 4 ohm. How do I wire these so I can run them bridged on two channels?

Don't.

Subwoofer impedance must match.

Sell the 2 ohm. Get another 4 ohm and buy a monoblock amp that is 1 ohm stable.

It's not a big deal to do it that way, but he'll be getting the least common denominator of the two subs.
used to be done all the time in competition cars, but going the other way (almost driving the amp at a dead short to get the most power in class).
Maybe they still do?

Are these the same competition cars with bridged monoblocks...they must have shelves of trophies, please tell us more about mismatched ohm ratings and the cars that win competitions with this secret technique...

You're probably too young to remember when they would run baby Rockford Amps with a dozen speakers at 1/2 ohm to eke out every ounce of power possible, and win for the amp size class.
You also are obvously too young to remember that thread you are referencing where I argued AGAINST the idea that some of you presented of a mono amp having multiple OUTPUTS.

How many OUTPUTS does YOUR mono amp have, JR? Tell us all the secret of your MONO amp with multiple OUTPUTS, and how they work.

Does it have an even number of multiple outputs, or is an odd number of multiple OUTPUTS on your MONO amp possible?
Explain the tech.

I'm waiting. Tell us how many OUTPUTS you have on your mono amplifier.
No spin at all. Just want to be educated on your high-tech equipment that has multiple outputs on a mono amp.
That's some serious equipment there, for sure.

The third one is the safest. Only thing is each coil set would get around 100 watts. Do you not think impedance rise would help in the 1.3 Ohms configuration?
