Different ohms on subwoofers.

I have two kicker DVC comp R 12s, one is 2 ohm. The other is 4 ohm. How do I wire these so I can run them bridged on two channels?

The third one is the safest. Only thing is each coil set would get around 100 watts. Do you not think impedance rise would help in the 1.3 Ohms configuration?

It would give a power boost, but the amp has already been damaged and is rated as a minimum 2 ohms.
If money were no object, he probably wouldn’t be working with the equipment he has, and could give the 1.3 ohms a go without worry.

Send it. Worst case is you have to buy a small mono amp for $150.

Buy a matching sub.. Sell one not using, and save for a Mono amp. Thats a great front stage amp. Id hate to see it get Cooked for the wrong reasons of stupidity of a poor Ohm load. Power is CHEAP these days

The way you rate multiple voice coils is by using the voice coil's resistance rating, and then divide by the number of voice coils in the circuit. EG 4 Ohms divided by 3 voice coils equals 1.33 ohms.
As for wire gauge you can use 12 gauge on 1000 watts subwoofer, as long as the connection points are snug, you should have no issues.
