They are four 12's in two boxes and they are 2 ohm

What subs exactly? Are they all identical?

Are they dual voice coil (DVC) or single voice coil (SVC) 2 ohm subs?

Those are single 4 ohm subwoofers. All four subwoofers will wire to 1 ohm.

Get a 1000 rms monoblock amp.

Two single 4 ohm woofers wire to 2 ohms. So at the terminal of the box it is 2 ohms. Two of the 2 ohm subwoofer boxes wired together will be 1 ohm at the amp.
