I’m getting a 2000 watt setup. 2 sundown sa V2 15” and the big 3 and a 3k-3.5k amp and I have a stock alternator I was wondering which lithium battery I should go with that isn’t more than $500-$600 that can power my system without having to replace my alt right this very second I want enough power and hopefully not much volt drop. Any feedback would be great thank you!

Sorry I'm not trying to thread jack but I have limited to no knowledge of the whole lithium battery.
I was out of things for a while and they were not around when I was.
Do you have to charge it?
It won't charge from the vehicle?
I missed a memo or something because the write up in the link above talks about alt charging and then recommends a charger to go with it
It also says you can run 5kw on it and a 100 amp alt which I'm thinking sounds to good to be true or I'm reading it wrong
Is it a way to get around having to put a new alt in or is there no avoiding that

Yes buying a charger is a good idea with lithium or AGM.

Yes your alternator will "charge" them but a charger to top off and maintain them is recommended.

They like a higher charge voltage than stock alternators produce.

Takes power to make power so no you don't HAVE to upgrade your alternator but it would be a good idea to get that voltage up higher.

I'm taking a wild guess and saying Bobby is telling everyone with a 1500+ RMS amp to go lithium again? 💩

Lol damn y’all be on Bobby’s ass huh?
I did recommend that other guy on another thread that was planning on getting a 3K amp to just make the jump to a lithium 🤔 seeing as at that point you’d probably rather be safe than sorry. Good rule of thumb or no 😳

It's just not worth the price and trouble for lower power IMO. If you have space and weight concerns sure I would go lithium over running multiple AGMs these days.

But for a 3k most can get away with a good AGM and/or just an alt upgrade.

Duly noted good sir 😎

Too funny! I'm in his head and ain't even trying. I recommended that the other guy with the 3K to make the jump after my Mechman 320 amp alternator, big 3, and AGM fell short. Pop is a pusssy, he blocked me after popping off. He's the kind of guy who flips you off as he's driving away. He's what we call, "a flip and runner!"

Wrong answer, I did that with a 3K and still drop into the low 11's. Agm, big 3, and 320 amp alt isn't enough. I have light dimming like no tomorrow. Quit giving shittty advice.

I'll really puss him off now. Great company, fast shipping, and great customer service. Count the minutes to the dislike. Hooked another fish, again. I've caught this fish multiple times.

I blocked you cause you are a fucking bipolar moron that does nothing but cause drama. I have explained this at least 10 times now. You don't listen at all. I'll talk shit straight to your face no problem at all and I bet you won't do anything. You clearly don't know me. You keep saying people are calling you names and how much it hurts your little feelings yet look at what you just said. Pot meet kettle. You really want to start this dislike shit again?

If you are dropping into low 11s with a 320 amp alt on a 3k amp you have another problem kid as that amp isn't even pulling 200 amps...

Would you like to see a video? I'm an *******, not a liar. My electrical is fine. All 1/0 OFC and my voltage will go anywhere from 14.8 to even high 10's on rebassed songs with my truck on and idling. So, when I recommended the guy with the 3K amp to just go lithium now, it was because of my personal experience. Which amp do you think I'm running? I'm not your kid, son.

I wasn't going by what one person said or didn't but I hear it come up a lot and some of the guys around here swear by them.
I have zero experience with the lithium so I wanted to know what everyone was talking about and if I was missing out on something
I fear the unknown but lucky for me I also fear change so...
To be honest I have a power hungry ***** of an amp sitting downstairs (SAZ-300D) and 2 DD 3512's that I would love to be able to install but I have to figure the electrical out before I can even think about it.
I will probably end up getting rid of it and picking up something that doesn't take up half the trunk but that's not going to solve my power issue.

Where did I call you a liar? I said you have another problem if you are dropping into the 11s on a 320 amp alt. Come on now. You have your beer googles on?

I have a full bridge 3k in my daily on basically stock electrical. I have for what like 4 years now.. I don't see under 12 volts at idle..
