Not sure what to make of this, I assume it's from the many times i reconnected the the negative terminal and the screw made contact first. I use a Knukonceptz Ultimate Terminal v2.

My first initial concern was if this was caused by music, bad ground and hot terminal. I'm only using 650 RMS @ 4 ohms.

It's the negative terminal? What is the concern? I see some arcing marks but they are very minor. Looks as if it were loose.

To prevent this use a THIN split lock washer and tighten to 6lb ft.

I don't think the arch is from loose connection as I can't make it any tighter and upon removal it takes a minimum torque to loosen the screw.

My original concern is that I don't know what this is and if there's a way to prevent more arching marks. Always a big spark when connecting the NEG terminal, no marks on the brass side, so it must be from the screw making first contact when reconnecting.

I not seen anyone else discuss this issue.
Any insight would be helpful. Thnx.

There could be gaps between the two surfaces. Place a lead washer in between and tighten down. The softer lead should fill any gaps. Perhaps solve the issue... ya neva know.
