So I built a box not paying attention to the specs of my current subs, been, I know. So I'm running alpine bass line 10 svc 4 ohms. The box I built has 2.44 cubic air space. The subs are rated for 1.5-2.5. My question is this, I found a set of Skar audio IX 10's that will work perfect for my air space. Is Skar as reliable as alpine??

Ok so, will I even notice a difference in sound if I find a sub that fits the specs I have?? And if I leave the alpines as is will I damage them with less air space than the specs call for??

Any suggestions as to what to get? I've researched my ass off and the Skar was the only one in my price range 150 to 200 for a pair.

Right now you can find Sundown Audio B Stock on Clearance at the link below. Skar is a junk brand that uses sub par parts that steals designs from other companies while making them in China. Don't use them that and the owner is a real POS and scammed thousands of people across multiple forums.

Two of these at Dual 4 ohm wired to 1 ohm and "Optimized for small, sealed & ported enclosures"

Also Sundown will stand behind their product...Skar will not. Plus Sundown is a legit company with really nice subwoofers and amplifiers

240 bucks with shipping. If you can afford 200 then you can afford to put an extra 40 bucks in for a much higher quality subwoofer. Also if you contact them they may work with you on shipping.

Yep for a budget woofer they do really nice. I would also check Sundowns site as well or other Sundown dealers online they may have them not B stock but nib for the same price.

Incriminator I series are good budget woofers too. If you can, you might be better off waiting until closer to Black Friday as some sites have sales. I wonder if Incriminator will do a black and blue sale again.

I think I can wait. I was just listening to the system and damn those basslines sound awesome in a ported box. I'm using a RF 300X1 to push them.

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
