Bad cops are those who lie and obfiscate for their buddies or do things such as plant evidence, or beat up/kill people during an arrest simply because they want to or are on an adrenaline high. There's a surprising amount of evidence that makes it to court and it's very common that cops get caught lying about the circumstances. It's called perjury, but for some reason they never get blamed for that other than annoying the judge.
We don't need to know they're going to do something bad, this isn't minority report. You're basically saying if we don't know who's bad, how do we prevent crime? Same way you prevent crime when cops do it, hold the criminals accountable, in this case hold cops who commit crimes and break policy liable in the same way civilians are. Also, don't require established case law for common sense decisions that rob people of their liberties, the onus should be on the cop who did the taking to prove it was reasonable according to policy, not the victim or the DA to prove it was unreasonable when it goes against department procedures.
You don't really need to make it about race any more, which should come as great relief to you by how defensive you get about it. The things BLM wants are mutually beneficial for everybody except criminal cops. White people are murdered by police too, just not as much as black people by individual odds.
Well once again the left struggles to brand properly. Defund the police does mean cut their budgets, but it also primarily means alleviate their responsibilities and take away their millitary toys. It doesn't mean start firing officers, but obviously if there's accountability from here on out there will be a lot of cops losing their jobs and getting prosecuted. Essentially police have become the single tool to be used to do everything in poor communities and that should be reversed. You don't need armed officers to respond to every 911, many can be handled by people trained in deescalation instead or those trained in mental health crisis handling. I suppose as a cop ball sucker you'd agree that they're expected to do too much, so good, let them offset some duties to another entity and some money should go with those responsibilities being taken away.

Why Punishment Doesn't Reduce Crime
Wonder why the American criminal justice system is a dismal failure?www.psychologytoday.com
Widespread and effective huh? How about you tell me what your sentence and crime was since your experiences with the police supposedly is where you draw your criticism of the BLM movement from. Maybe it wasn't such good evidence for your point after all.
Don't forget to keep our opinions civil. No need to disparage or disrespect eac "Can't we all just get along?"
Or mono leaf springs..... MIC drop !!No one's going to get banned and I hate that saying. Humans will never ever "all get along". It's about tolerance and coexisting. We don't have to get along at all but it would be swell if we'd quit killing one another for stupid bullshit. Like skin color, are religion, or gender, or because you looked at me funny, or I don't like your music, etc.
I suggest you read what I linked because you obviously didn't. What you think is true isn't in line with reality. What's more important? That criminals have revenge by the state carried out on them or that they don't commit more crimes? You are so damn blind it is painful.
Criminals don't play by god damn rules. When you limit police on what they can do to uphold the law, criminals will now be even more bold. You literally want to protect criminals and make it easier for them to commit crimes.
In your world you have cops approaching criminals in the act of committing crimes and counting to 5 or the criminals will have to go stand in the corner. It doesn't work for kids, it isn't going to work on criminals. It teaches criminals that if they do enough phucked up shit they will scare all you ******* into letting them get away with shit.
Maybe that's what you want... a world with no law so you can do whatever the hell you want.
As far as my sentence, mother fucker I was smart enough to learn that it isn't worth it to lose my freedom so I made the choice to no longer break the law. That is a major difference between me and you. I can learn and you are a puppet. Dance mother fucker dance.
I will shoot you in the face!Or mono leaf springs..... MIC drop !!
The protest is larger than this one incident. It is the result of years of oppression of minorities. This particular incident was like a "blasting cap", used to set off dynamite. This is different, because you see all races protesting, especially the younger generation. People all over the world of all nationalities and races are protesting. To answer your question, the protests may not have been triggered at this point in time, if the officer had been black. However, that really isn't an issue at this point, as black cops don't have a documented history of killing unarmed minorities.
I suggest you read what I linked because you obviously didn't. What you think is true isn't in line with reality. What's more important? That criminals have revenge by the state carried out on them or that they don't commit more crimes?
Also your characterization and hyperbole example of what I think is just plain wrong. As if some how punishing cops when they do horrible things is going to lead to anarchy or that doing so means you side with the criminal. Guess what?? When a cop commits a crime THEY ARE A CRIMINAL. You know, one of those things that you hate so much, having a badge doesn't mean you can't do fucked up shit. You're the one advocating for letting people get away with anything, literally. Why you so soft on crime?
Once again you don't answer, further proving my point. Did harsh punishment change your mind, or did almost getting harsh punishment change your mind? Can't have it both ways. For many black arrestees there's not a second chance before a charge, I guess you just got lucky to have that choice after the realization of your actions, what a coincidence! Where does your skin fall on the lowes home and garden scale again?
I said documented "HISTORY". LOL, and you send me one article that you just "google." I now see why the other folks are responding to you the way they are. I'm not wasting any more of my time with you. Don't you love the ignore feature on this forum!!!!!!!!! Bye!!!!!!!!Read this story. Black cop shoots an unarmed black guy who is handcuffed in the back seat of his squad car.
