Car Audio semi-n00b needing ideas for “front only” system...6.5” component spkrs with appropriate amp

Thank you Lasherž, You have given me several ideas to pursue and by introducing the Sub you have sketched out the system anew for me. Resonix is only 2 hours from me so I think I will start there by emailing them to see if they have the time or desire to do an install.
The website infers that Resonix is a side project for the owner (whom I believe you said is a member here) and not his full time gig.

In which case I will need to find another as you said recommended installer in the New York Tri-state area. Perhaps in a separate posting.
Also I will take your advice and look into quality used custom made boxes for local pickup.
Thanks again Lasherž. Rest well

Glad to hear it, you too. Feel free to post again if you need more targeted information with one particular part of the project.

Do you want videos of the VFL's. @Popwarhomie saw my video of them and thought they were very legit. Do you want proof of my Taramps?

Not to hijack this thread or anything, but what music is that with? I'd be curious to see performance on something like port blue - the grand staircase to see if it could accurately differentiate the 5 bass notes in the main beginning riff. My sealed 15" SX 380D does but my stock door speakers can't manage it.

So, you want my door midbass to equal your sealed 15"?

No lol. I just mean that song's a good test of bass response on the mid bass range. I feel like its performance there will determine if I like it for the same type music OP enjoys where clarity and speed is what makes the music come alive rather than systems that sound best on trap rap which can usually get away with a little slop, but requires big low end performance.

A sealed 15" versus a 6.5" i

So, where is your 15" midbass coming from? I'll post the video of my 6.5" from my car door panel.

Dude, I'm in a 55 year old car with a 95 amp alternator pushing over 4.000 watts. I will film the midbass on whatever song you want me to. As long as you do the same. Let's do this beeootch!

Lol all you want. I hit 143.8 before my **** was even tuned up. From the with both doors open and the sunroof open.
Dude, I'm hitting over 143 with a 95 amp alternator. Can you show me more than that?
I think you may be missing the point of what I'm going for. I don't mean that song gets loud, I mean it requires clarity and accuracy.
It sounds like he doesn't want hair standing Bass
Nor do I, hence the sealed enclosure. I want clarity on bass riffs and sharp kicks as similar to live as possible. Louder is nice to be able to do, but 143db isn't my goal or OPs.

I'm pretty sure to get a 143.8 with a sealed enclosure I'd need like 15kW lol.

I'm over 143 with a single 15" and a 95 amp alternator. My midbass is totally legit. Please name another 6.5" midbass that hits between 80-3k. Not a woofer, a midbass. I'll hang up and wait. If you want to call me, feel free. 9132213987

Define clarity on a bass note over 140db? What is the difference in a clean 145 db and a sloppy db?
