What subs hit harder then jlw3 for under $100?

JVC makes a decent deck with 4 volt preouts. They’re an ok budget deck. I’m fond of pioneer myself, but any decent deck with an eq and crossovers combined with 4+ volt precuts will be miles better

this one? Damn man i seen this one but passed on it for the $100 alpine thinking it was better shopping by price thinking the higher one would be better.

The only thing it lacks is crossovers, but if you have passive crossovers, combined with the ones on the amp, you don’t HAVE to have crossovers in the deck itself. I personally like to use crossovers In the head unit, but good head units with crossover points are more expensive.

should have crossovers just not active the 370 is the latest one for about $20 more not sure what the difference is.

I would spend $105 for a Pioneer MVH-S522BS it has Netwok mode.

skip. those are fake 4 volt rca outputs. Go with a 105 dollar pioneer one.

I put one of jvc’s 4volt in and it was dog poo get that mvh-s522bs. Waaaay better

I used to have an avx-1 made by jvc, and the 4 volt rcas we’re fine. It was a more expensive deck they had.....and 15 years ago, but I competed with that deck, and faired very well. They may have gotten cheap recently though. i also used to run alpine type Rs, and, admittedly, they arent as good now. Could be the same with JVC.

kenwood and JVC quality went down the drain in their single din units. Some of the low tier kenwood double dins are slow and buggy as well.

I know My brother have 2 12 Comp-R in a pre enclosure he mention letting me have a year ago, not sure if he still have. If i pick that up will i need to upgrade battery, or big 3 on the 600watts rms amp im using now?

Can i run that regular with no upgrade until I eventually get a better amp for the time being?

Yes, increasing cone area on the same power usually results in it being louder. If you do go that route, you need to get a multimeter and hook it up to the amp inputs and watch the voltage or set the gain to where your voltage doesnt dip below 12v at idle full tilt. Considering you'll be using the same amp, I doubt you'll have more voltage drop.

You can turn the gain up later if you get a bigger amp or whatever the case is. You can always turn the gain down if you have too much voltage drop.

holt **** thIs comp-r **** all over that shiity overpriced jlw3 without changing headunit yet. Overpowered Sub not even moving and Super deep loud quality bass, cant wait till how it sound on good headunit.
