Xbox system link question

I have Halo 2 and one of my friends always wants to play halo 2 on two player and battle it out. He is bringing his xbox down sunday and we want to get 4 people and have 2 teams, but we want to have 1 team on 1 tv and the other team on another tv that way they cant look at our screen and figure out where the **** we are at.

I have a crossover cable coming in the mail and was wondering if you can just have two players or even just one player per xbox and system link them together so that you can play without screen viewing??? or do you have to have more than four players on an xbox in order to use system link?

No, you can do it 2 vs 2, or 1 vs 3, or 4 vs 0. It doesn't matter.
