Lucky Charms

In a time where disappointment in childhood memories of brands has become all too often the case I am not disappointed for once. I just went out to have a bowl of lucky charms a favorite cereal of my childhood that I wasn’t allowed to have that often. In fact it’s been probably a good 15 years since I had last had a bowl of them. Well I was not disappointed at all... The mellow to cat food looking crap ratio was still the same if not better. These days almost anything I try to reminisce with turns out not quite as good as I remembered but I would like to thank general mills because the lucky charms were defiantly not a disappointment by any means...

One of my biggest complaints from childhood treats was that everything keeps getting freaking smaller. Fruit rollups got half the size, Granola bars got way smaller and even some good candy bars shrunk. I know they're trying to maximize profits but it sucks all the same.

i used to like those real fruit roll up's the ones in the produce section... i wonder what ever happened to those.... Im gonna have to try fruit roll up.... havent had one for years... The granola bars got like super *** small.... i could eat a whole frickin box in one sitting if i was hungry... those things are like 3"x.5"x.25"

One thing that pisses me off is they don't seem to give you shit for toys in them anymore, I can't count the the number of times I got my azz beat by my mother for making a big *** mess dumping all the cereal out to get the toy at the bottom.

yes lucky charms are the bomb. but i eat all the "cat food looking crap" and save the marshmallows. then i eat all the marshmallows at the end. kinda like a reward for my efforts in getting rid of the worthless stuff.

i got a question for you guys: does anyone turds turn green after eating fruit loops, applejacks, or any other similar colored crap?

Oh man, I used to love Lucky Charms. We didn't get it often, but when we did the box would be gone in about 2 days.

True story:

When I was in 8th grade, I had a pre-algebra class. A few of my classmates were the stereotypical ditzy cheerleaders. The teacher was pretty cool. During class, if we wanted a snack, he'd let us bring in just about anything as long as it wasn't distracting or made a mess.

One of the guys that sat a few chairs away from me brought in a small bag of Cheerios and was chowing away. He sat next to one of the cheerleaders and offered her some. She refused, then he said "They're good for you. They build brain cells." After an expected look of confusion, she asked "Really? Nuh-uh! Really?".

Another girl sitting on the other side of her got in on the ruse and said it was true. The ditz quickly grabbed a handful of the little cereal rings and started popping them like skittles while saying with an enthusiastic tone "I'm gonna be smart! I'm gonna be smart!"

Boy, was she disappointed when we all laughed and told her it was merely a joke. The teacher even cracked a bit of a grin.

Lucky Charms still are the SHIT but if you like Trix(even though they're for kids) dont go buy a box because I cant tell you the disappointment I had on my face when I dumped a whole bowl of cereal out only to find that the magical fruit shapes are now jus little circles:eek: It looks like berry berry Kix now. Very disappointing to say the least.
