Wtf Setting Gains

Well I just tried setting the gains on my amp...****ing amp went into protect just before I reached my target voltage for the first speaker...sofaucking annoyed right now....i think it was the wires feeding the other crossover that I disconnected ended up touching each other...how long before the amp resets itself...please tell me I didnt fvck up my amp just from that....

YES. WHY? wtf does that have to do with getting my amp out of protect.\

LOL....i'm not trying to flame you, wasn't sure if you have seen it, as your subject was gain setting. Also, if you have it set too high, you could be setting it into protect mode.

Check your wiring first, make sure you have a solid ground, check your fuses.

well I disconnected the fuse to the jl amp and the sub amp plays fine....the gains are all the way down...I know everything is good because I have been listening to it since yesteday and it's been fine.....SOOOOOOOOOO annnoyyyyedd ...all I had left to do was match the levels of the speakers and I was done.....anyone had a jl amp go into protect? did it come back out? how long...sorry to anyone who gets the angry end of me i'm just really really pissed right now....this was supposed to be a 5 minute thing and I was DONE.
