WTF is max power on an amp

Yeah, I think that they sometimes use an RMS rating on a frequency where they get the most power, and then rate the THD on a different frequency. Also, I don't think that the frequency response given is at full RMS power either. And they usually don't even say +/- X dB either. So they can really say anything they want.

yeah i noticed that too, that's why the person who bought the amp has to figure out what frequency puts out the most power, most of the time it's the bass boost frequency that puts out the most power. or just experimenting with test tones and usin that tone to set the gain with so they get decent output that's the way i see it.
