wow i think nathan is losing it (excessive amperage)

Doesnt look like mean green makes an alt for my engine, 04 silverado, with the d@mn V6 4.3
they dont have many choices for cars.....i have a 2000 chevy with a 5.3 and looking for a very reliable 250 amp alt. anybody have any recommendations?

 
mine worked for one day i have had to send it back to him three times now its starting to piss me off mines a 250amp large case gm

for my 97 bonneville

i got it at the begining of the summer and have not even gotten to use it it just went back for the third time last week if it doesnt work when i get it back im going to get my money back or look into some sort of legal action

Erick, I just received your alternator for the 2nd time - not the 3rd. Why are you acting so upset on the forum but when I talk to you you seem like everything is cool, call me if you have a problem and we can get it taken care of. You said you have not got to use the alternator .... ? You have had if for seven months and when it came to me the first time I shipped it back the next day from when I received it ! Erick - you know I will take care of any problems with my alternators. Did I not pay for shipping cost to get it to you and get it to you fast ? I have been building a lot more alternators and like any growing company - if you put out 20 units and get 1 back it's not as bad. But then you start putting out 100 units and get 5 back (just numbers as an example) then you get 5 people post some stuff on the forums that I am losing it. Dont bust my balls guys. I will take care of any problems that might arise and you all know that. What other company will take the time to check forums and try to help people out and actually talk with you guys ? If I was out to rip people off and not care about them after they buy my alternators, would I take time out of my work day to try to take care of something like this ?

 
Mine has been in since february and has worked fine?
i think it's the most recent ones that have the problems.

Thanks Tommy90. Like I said in the last post - The more products you put out, the more you will have problems with. If you buy 20 regulators and may get 1 defect it is okay. Then you start buying 100 regulators and get 5 bad. It is the same ratio of defects. The numbers are just for reference. My business is growing and so there may be more people have problems than if I was still not doing as many alternators. I take pride in my work and will take care of any problems that will arise. I do everything possible to build the best quality alternators and I would have to say that I probably have the least alternators come back than any high output alternator company on the market today.

 
I'm guessing it has some type of spring loaded belt tensioner?

It has a spring loaded belt tensioner called an idler pulley. There is a square on it that you can put a 3/8 ratchet on it and pull it to loosen it. It will be spring loaded and have a good amount of tension on it, be careful when you are letting it back down - keep pressure on it or it will snatch your wrist back and hurt ya'. Take the belt off of the alternator to get it off, it will be easier that way. put it back on the alternator last as it will be the easiest way to re-install it.

 
Ive had my EA Alternator for awhile now. Ive never had problems with it. Sorry to the guys who are having problems, hope u get things situated.

 
well i found out my stock alt is 140 amps which should be fine for my setup. i originally got this 250 amp when i had bigger amps. i'm gonna call nathan tommorrow and ask him for a refund for this piece of shit.

You seemed so nice on the phone when I asked you to ship it back to me and told you I would get it repaired and shipped back either the same day or the next day - but on here you act like you are so upset. that was posted last night and when you hook up a $300 alternator and it doesn't work you get upset plus the bearing or whatever is going out on my stock alt so i need something. you seemed nice over the phone so i hope it works well when it gets back. i have to drive this car from michigan to florida and i want to feel confident it will make it there without me having to do the alt on the side of the highway lol. i just got back from ups and the alternator is on it's way. i sent you an e-mail earlier today when i didn't get ya on the phone so you can disregard that. trust me i was ready to be an *** over the phone if you were gonna tell me you weren't gonna fix it or something like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hey nathan i ment no harm by that i just didnt know that you had done refunds or partail refunds in the past

the legal action was jsut frustration from the on going threads that i see popping up on forums of there being a lot of bad alts and sorry i thought it had gone back to you twice already sorry again

and yes it has been seven months but the first time i had it on my car after two days it came off and was sent back to you to check the voltage regulator and you ended up replaceing it (the regulator not the whole alt) then i got it back and it still didnt work correctly so it didnt stay on and i sent it back and you said you would replace the whole internals and then i get it back and it appears that it may have been dropped(the internal were rubbing on each other

so this was the third time but not your fault

so i truly appalagize once frustration sets in who knows what you will say

i appreciate all the work you have done. the ease of instalation on my car has saved me a lot of frustration

once again i am upset or at all wanting to turn any Business away from you i actually have another car 1963 chevy ll nova that i hope to have ready for the spring that will need you services

sorry for the rant i hope no offense was taken
