thanks again and sorry for all the mumbo jumbo
No hard feelings. I will go ahead and repair the alternator and ship it back to you. Maybe UPS will take care of it eventually.....?

rotor wire broken huh and i get blamed for it?? That alternator sat in my room for months and months before i even decided to put it in. It was cough up $150 to get someone to put it in, or completely dissassemble the whole driveaxle of my car myself. which ended up being myself. We hooked it up after 5 hours..put the DMM on the battery wires before we even turned the car on, turned the car on, 12.2 volts...wow. So unless it was broken some other way you got me there. because it never charged once. I bought an Excessive Amperage alternator because people referred me to you that you make good stuff. And a couple days before I put mine on I read a lot of bad things that were going on with your alternators like people installing them and them not working, and that got me nervous. and then come to find out mine doesn't work when i hook it up. i just dont see how i get blamed for it when it didnt charge from the second the key went in the ignition.

Where are you hearing bad things about my alternators ? No one complains to me about them. They are all cool with me on the phone or emails and then start "venting" on the forums ? Should you not see if it will be taken care of first and then post something if it is not taken care of ? can you email me links or something where people are talking about me ? All the post I have ever come across were of good feedback for my work.

ive done searches on this forum and found a couple people where their alternators don't even workw hen they get them...or they have problems etc. Alternators and me aren't a good thing to talk about. I blew up 1 stock alternator, bought an alternator from Mralternator.com for my car, the regulator in it went crazy and blew up my battery plus half the bulbs in my car, they were complete assholes to me. now im on a stock alternator again on which the windings are turning black. Is it that hard for me to get an alternator that just fricken works without problems. now do you see my frustration with alternators....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

While we've got you here... 93 caprice classic 5.0L, how much for a 200 amp? and ~ how many amps would I see aroung 800 RPM?

Also do you know if that would be the same case as for a 95-96 LT1 350? as I intend on buying a Caprice Wagon once I can afford it.

I feel ya' on your alternator history. But you saw a couple of people with problems and then posted this ? Did you contact them to see if they were taken care of ? Every company will have problems now and then. It is how the issues are resolved that should make their reputation. I will do everything on my part to get your alternator back to you as soon as possible and make it right. I will epoxy the rotor windings on the slip ring to make sure they do not break loose again. My whole problem is that there will be so many people to look at this post and not read all of it and then decide not to buy my alternators, then they tell someone else..... and so on.

Does your car have the police package with the large alternator on it ?

no //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I was considering trying to get ahold of that bracket though... I'm just lazy though...

Yeah, if you could get a bracket it would interchange. The small case will not work with the LS1.

Just a thought for all further purchases...anyone who buys a new or used alt should know....

Before you spend the money to install it and or spend 5 hours installing it like TypeRbass did, try taking it to autozone for a FREE...yes FREE...check on the alt. I did this, definatly a logical thing to do.

Nate, I feel bad that all this shit has started, IMO your customer service is awesome. Your product has been good to me, and in the near future I may call you for another alternator from you. Your service, IMO, rivals Mike (SS) and Nick (SI). Lastly, thanks for putting together the group buy.

But the thing with Autozone is they can't tell you whether it will do the rated output or not.

Nathan, I noticed you said something about the regulators being bad. I'll give the people another example.

Ordered 20 BRAND NEW TRANSPO regulators for the Delco 22SI. We test everything before assemby and 6 of the 20 were bad. Built the other 14 and 3 of them came back with bad regulators. Pull them out and test them, they read 14.4-14.9. We think we're good. Nothing else is wrong. Call the TRANSPO hotline and find out we have to test with an O-scope because of an intermittent problem due to heat and vibration. Now, we do a large amount of OE remans and special order stuff, and even we didn't have the O-scope to test. Just used a normal Transpo tester, so it just goes to prove, you CAN'T catch everything.

The bad thing about today's society is, you hear the bad more than the good.

Yeah, this is the side of it that the customers dont realize. We just have to take the heat. Where are you from, company ? Just curious.
