If by simpy cutting power handleing and sensetivity in half along with halving Bl and looseing some Qes is damaging the speaker...then yes, you are "Damaging" it.

The subs and amp are made by o2 audio.the subs are dual 4ohm voice coils and the amp is a 3000.1 it puts out 3000 watts at 1 ohm.so will that help you show me a visual layout on how to wire this up?

Well I said screw it and hooked it up @2ohms.Even with the amp putting out less power it hits alot harder(still seems weird to me)Thanks to all of you for your help!

OK everybody thanks for your help.I thought I had all the info listed that would be needed to figure this out when i posted it.However I had not been to sleep for about 28 hrs so when everyone started asking questions that I thought I had in the post I said to hell with it and went to bed.Any way since i already screwed this up once can anyone show me a picture of how to do this like sag3 is talking about.I dont really want to run it @2ohms if I dont have to.

like that for each pair then wire both of the +'s and both of the -'s from each pair together and then connect it to the amp to get .5 ohms.

Thats how I thought it would be but I wasnt going to take the chance. Thanks though for posting it.I think I am going to leave it alone for now.I can believe how much louder it is
