no i don't compete, just don't get how they pick out a single car that sounds 'warmer' and 'smooth' over 76458765426587 others that don't...warm and smooth are not the qualities of a good sound

miss use of a product or an understanding of one part of a technology or method then not understand what its advantage or disadvantage is when applied correctly....good caps can and do work when EVERYTHING else does but to a noticeable degree?

biggest messes i have seen in car audio are accuvolts and impedence coils(veritas) used to lower speaker impedence. anything you use to manipulate power uses power to work....

Actually, when your alt is sufficiently large, your wires are sufficiently large, and your battery(s) is sufficient (size/condition/etc), there is no need for even what people think caps do (handle transient peaks in the material being played).
Besides, 'good' caps are few and far between. Most of which are arrays of small caps (like what's already in the inout stage of your amplifier), not these stupid 1 farads and bigger.

that is why i said " but to the degree that you notice?" at the end of what i said. you can measure the differences but i doubt you notice the performance "increase" unless you have some pretty shitty amplifiers. i had 3 caps in my SQ car but they werent hooked up LOL take them out judges liked to dock you a point or 2 for not having them. that is the part of competition i never miss. imo that is judging your equipment. i was also at a show where a judge seen a guy fuse both - and + and figured he would try and dock competitors for not doing the same LOL. real world> Rule Book>understanding enough to be dangerous .....

the import guys and car show people think that kinda car is just titts. So does the average idiot who goes to a car show and sees all that bling and think's its the best thing on the street. Who's to say they're wrong in their eyes?

Personally I think the car is awful, but at least he put alot of effort into it, so go him.

In dash DVD players. All these retards at my school had them. One kid put a dual in his mustang and I laughed at him for putting that POS in. They're cool looking but I'll stick with my 8051.
