i agree. its a nice thought that you are trying to remember someone, but perhaps find another outlet. people who see it arent going to know what you are talking about, arent going to care enough to ask a question, and arent going to notice more than a glance and the thought "hm, weird".Not CA related...but why does everyone try to remind me of the date their family member died with a huge sticker on their car window? I dont care who died, and if all I get "in loving memory" is a shitty sticker on your car window... fuck you anyway.
on the flip side of the coin, i will say SQ competition. who does critical listening while going 40mph down the road? man up and buy a home stereo, and get something practical for driving.SPL competition.
i actually do im a loser like that, if i hear a piece of the music missing or not correctly there, then it bugs the living hell out of mei agree. its a nice thought that you are trying to remember someone, but perhaps find another outlet. people who see it arent going to know what you are talking about, arent going to care enough to ask a question, and arent going to notice more than a glance and the thought "hm, weird".

Why? Someone already did.surprised no one said the plexiglass enclosed bandpass boxes, prefab that is.
Yes.1) MECP certification. Not so much the test itself (though given how many who are MECP certified lack basic knowledge of audio/acoustics, I'd have to say their test and/or material is in need of a serious overhaul), but moreso the implications people draw from it. Many who are MECP certified think it gives them a trump card in any discussion, and they think it means they absolutely must know more than anyone who is not MECP certified.
2) People who claim to be from the "old school" days. As above, they for some reason seem to think this is a trump card in a discussion, or think it means they must know more than someone from a younger generation. And generally it seems these "OG" enthusiasts are the most misguided and continue to believe in audio myths and magic pixie dust.
in a car with no defined soundstage with bass 15 decibels higher than the rest of the music, yeah I can pick those flaws out going 100, with the windows down, lol. Like it or not that's 99% of the "SQL" style cars, SPL cars are even worse, 1 note wonders...well, it doesnt take the best equipment possible to properly reproduce music... and like i said, i would challenge you to correctly identify the flaws in a musical reproduction while driving down the road...
