i have a power acoustic 4 channel amp would it be safe to hook one sub up to it? the sub is a rockford p1 150 rms 4ohms.

heres what i got on the amp:

RMS Power (4 ohms) 80 watts x 4 channels

RMS Power (2 ohms) 95 watts x 4 channels

RMS Power (1 ohm) N/A

Bridged RMS Power 190 watts x 2 channels

2 Ohm stereo, 4 ohm mono stable

thanks for the help ya'll just saved me some money

another question about the setting the gain

when i look t the amp i see high pass knob low pass knob bass boost knob and level knob.

then a high pass low pass cross over switch

what would i use to set the gain

and what would be a safe level for the gain?

turn the bass boost all the way down on both knobs.

Looks like your headunit has to have a subwoofer output and full

range outputs to work. Plug the full range front pre-out into 1&2,

and the sub out into 3&4 RCA jacks.

The level dial adjusts the gain for the 2 internal amps. The upper dial does channels 1&2

the lower level dial adjusts 3&4.

run channels 1&2 (upper row of dials and buttons) to your component or coax speakers:

xover hpf, HPF dial first dot past the 40 (80ish)

channels 3&4 (lower row of dials and buttons) to your woofer bridged on the speaker outputs.

xover lpf, LPF dial first dot past the 40 (80ish)

Remember, on the speaker output side of the amp is where you bridge 3&4 so pay

attention to how you wire it up.
