Hello.. I'm in need of some help wiring my battery setup for my sub setup. I have 2 runs of 0g wire fused at both ends already ran but the issue I'm having is how to connect the batteries. I have a standard group 65 as my starting battery and 2 shuriken 1500s for the rear. I was wondering what isolater to get and how to connect the rear two batteries together. I've already done the big 3 and ran grounds from rear frame to trunk. The car came with a 200 amp alt if someone could help me finish the wiring process I'd greatly appreciate it.. p.s I have 3 12's (cvxs dual 2 ohm wired to 1.3) and a skar 3500 (I kno it was a gift)

First off thanks for the reply. So I'd have to run a ground from the front battery to the trunk. Would one run be sufficient or 2?

I have the 0 gauge from alt to battery alt bracket to battery neg removed stock battery ground replaced with 0 gauge and added from the same point to the frame can send pics to clarify

Should be fine. I also recommend grounding the exhaust near the cat and the muffler or upgrade the factory straps.

Have done the mentioned upgrades.. crazy voltage drop. even swapped out subs and amp for something smaller just to see what would happen.. still voltage drops below 12.. put in 3 cvrs and stinger 1500 as test and it's about the same drops so low amp goes into protect 30 40 secs into song.. what could be wrong

Check the voltage at the alternator while you are playing it. If the voltage there is ok, you have a wiring problem somewhere. If the voltage drops at the alternator, then it is weak and will need to be replaced.

As Dragon said, check the voltage at the alternator. If that is good, you might have a bad connection somewhere in the line. You might be able to find he bad connection by feeling for a warm or hot connection. What is the voltage at idle?

Ground the negative to the second battery. Car chassis. Metal iron part anywhere close by. Then you connect the positive side battery to the input of the amplifier. Positive to positive. Your car is a chassis or common grounded car connection. And it is 12 volts above the ground. "Ground" means any metal part of the car chassis. All battery connections operate like that description. Thank you!

You don't wire it in parallel. One battery will drain off the other. Cancel each other out. So you line it up in series. Sort of. By grounding one negative, that second battery now becomes 12 volts above the ground. Chassis.

One more comment then I'm out: "What are there not any engineers on Kaua'i, Hawa'i'i? " Challenging each other because of Politics. The latest poll in election. Some of the politicians are here. Yeah, I live in the Kekaha, Kaua'i, Hawai'i area. Do you have a problem with that? Smarter people or just executives want to be. I'm also into computers.
