Will this amp and dual sub setup pound my chest?

Type R's can get hella loud in a proper ported box. While they may sound decent to some, nobody here is gonna suggest them for an sq build. Should of got a couple of SSA Icons and an IC2200.1

2 SSA Icons and an IC2200.1 runs about $1040. Add an IC150.4 for $400, 6.5’s and tweeters for say $200-$300, wiring/rcas/deadener $200-$300, head unit $500 with kit, custom box for say $200-$300, HO Alt for $400, 2 batteries for $500 and some blood, sweat, and beers you’d have a badass system. That’s $3,400-$3,700. I think I just built my next system haha

I’m sure I’m missing something but you get the point. It’s been a long day and these beers are going down smooth.

Car Toys is a retailer who sells audio gear and installs it. Lots of horror stories from them though.

I can’t imagine what I’d be able to do on a $4k budget haha.

We did my brother's wall build in his Civic for under that, put a bit more into it a couple years ago when we added the LTO battery bank. Still though, some people buy new/MSRP and don't do their own work. Most shops that are worthwhile will have to charge high hourly rates for their work and OP bought some expensive brand name equipment (Alpine aside).

I wouldn't consider a pair of 10" type Rs loud by any stretch but it should be a good upgrade from where he was.
