Will my $40 system get loud??

RE Box says it's capable of hitting a 174.3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
that's assuming someone besides a n00b installs it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Well regardless, I plan on hitting at least a 175.

Do you really have a meter? I'd like to see how loud it actually gets...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Guy in HS had 4 JL 12W1's running off 600 watts RMS and it got decently loud...hmmm

Yeah, I've got a meter. It's not a TL, but it reads 3 dbs high everytime (so you just subtract 3 dbs from your score), and it's accurate.

The meter sold for $999 around 5 years ago and I picked it up for $120.

Check the end of this vid I took, it shows me using it.
