Alpine Type X

Hey i was looking at the 12 Alpine type X subs and a Alpine PDX-1.1000. I am thinking about getting 2 or each for my mustang. Does anyone have these or know anyone who has them? If so how do they sound. I can get the subs for like 229 each which doesnt seem bad.

I ran one for quite a while. It sounds good sealed imo- very smooth and responsive. It's much louder ported but very peaky no matter what size box/tuning I used.

I liked the Fi Q in that same price range, but my wife thought the type-x was a much "prettier" sub.

Not bad for the price but definitely a disappointment in my eyes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... I heard one on 1000wrms in a box built to specifications and neither the response or output earned my respect... Post up a budget and a lot of guys will suggest things they feel are better.

My budget for all audio gear is about 2500. That still leaves me some moeny to build the box and buy a second battery or BATCAP i havnt decided which one yet.

wtf r u talking about the type X is a great sub you cant say its better or worse tho its not noticable ur buddys box prolly sucked or the amp settings were messed up..

me and my buddy both have jl 1000/1 amps....he has a 10'' w7 and i have a 10'' type X both our cars were just as equal... but the w7 hit just a tiny tiny bit harder but thats because his box was the HO box. but relaly not noticable enough to cry about it

right now im building a new set up

last night i was going to order the FI BL or Q same shit but I couldnt pay with paypal for some reason it was ****ed so i had to go with option B.. type X 12''

you cant go wrong with the type X.. 320$ after shipping. but the FI seemed just as good if not even better in a few tiny things but both subs are great just pick one
