So today i installed a complete sound system in my new car. Now everything I have in my car now has been in my past 3 cars ive had, I just kept moving the system over to the new car each time, but this time im having issues.

I've wired the system the same way for the past 3 cars and never had issues, this is what i do.... I have a 4 channel amp, and i run 4 coaxils on the rear channel, and i run the sub on the front channel bridged. For the life of me I cant figure out why my sub doesnt bump. It deffinitley has bass but the bass is VERY minimal. I tried adjusting the bass knob and gain but it doesnt thump loud it increases but not by much at all. I tried playing with the settings on the radio but still no go.

I have no idea what the issue could be, everything stayed the same for the system except for teh box, i got a new box, so im guessing that could be the problem.

I'm going to attempt to swap a sub and a box with my friend tomorrow and see if theres a difference.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that I could possibly do?

check all your wiring just incase.
hmm what wiring could it be though? the amp is getting power, speakers work great the both sets of rcas work, im not sure what wiring would affect this... its not like the sub doesnt work, it works just very minimal bass

the sub is a dual 2 ohm and i have it run so the output is 4 ohms, since thats what the amp can handle bridged.

make sure u have the right pre-outs hooked up in the back of the h/u. What kind of h/u are u running?
pioneer premier de-p560mp

yea i think your right i think i have the preouts switched, ill try switching them and see what happens //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i was thinkin the same thing but wasnt sure

so you turned up the bass boost and gains to get it to bump more? fail...
go to Gain Setting Tutorial thread
im not sure if taht was an insult or not but i obviously know that you dont turn the gain and bass boost up to get bass or use it as a volume control, i said i tried doing it to see if the bass increased if you read my post correctly

even a wrong box would still work normallyhe sounds like he is way off.....
yea the box and sub came from this kid and it bumped HARD in his car so i know it cant be that

i tried switching the preouts this morning but that didnt work still the same, im going to try and swap a a differnt box and sub with my friend later today, see if that does anything

ok jsut got bakc from my friends house we switched subs and boxes and its still the same way, we hook it mine up to his car and it bumps, so now my only guess is that there must be a radio setting on my headunit, since i have a premier those radios have a gazillion settings so ill have to check that out, but at this point i dont see what else it could be unless theres sumthin wrong with my amp or radio
