LOL ALL THIS BS ABOUT A MEXICANS,bottom line is the white man needs Mexicans and as long as they need us we ain't going any where.I never see white men working the fields...Well in my town..
i ONLY see white people working the fields around here..

Not sure if economists should be included with political scientists...I am a minor in PS. The mathematical rigor isn't close.
Well that's nice and everything but which category they are included in doesnt address the issue that economist were in fact included in the research.

very true and it was already covered but he doesnt want to deal with it.
I would argue that the real estate market, in most areas, isnt a monopoly.
Real estate construction? Sorry, I haven't been reading.

Depends.

I live in an area that is "suburbanizing". Developers buy 1000 acres and has a single construction company build them all. However, niche/speciality/insurance homes...there is more competition there.

Does it break down % by discipline? I am curious if more mathematical disciplines or more or less likely to lean left or right.
I didnt see that information when i briefly looked at the original pew report.

I believe i know what you should argue, now lets see if you can get there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not arguing either way. I don't know the answer.

I am describing my experiences...and they are about 50/50. Consider I also live in the Bible Belt though so perhaps the right-leaning number is inflated compared to what one would see outside the Bible Belt.

Nope.. midwest.. what they grow isnt nearly as labor intensive as say fruit/veg

Its all white people in air conditioned cabs of half million dollar John Deeres

They actually do use some foreign workers though.. when its time to combine.. but they are usually from like New Zealand or South Africa and white... and here legally.

are arguing its a noncompetative oligopoly?

Even if conservatives are over represented in economics, how does that impact the study?

Isn't the level of villification of the 'other' political party amazing? And I find it funny you are all too quick to march to that beat. Id be embarrassed to post such nonsense and act as if I believe it. But then, you seem to have a great desire for attention here, at any cost. Good luck with that.

In mass suburbs, yes. Mainly because "Joe's Construction" cannot scale up to build 1000 homes. I am speculating here, but I'd suspect it is easier to developers to sole source the construction.

In individual homes, there is a more competitive market...but it seems (based on people I know who have homes built) they cannot achieve the economies of scale that mass builders can. However, there is a definite difference in the quality of the homes.
