No one is telling people not to vote for Sanford. If he thinks he still has the support of his base he is free to run and probably will if he believes this to be the case.

i don't trust the goverment, which is probably the biggest reason i want people who know more than i about health care, to ask these questions. in history, socializing healthcare has been frequent starting points for bigger socialist style programs. at which point do you actually become socialist, and in american history, when has our government done anything but grow bigger (ignorant republicans can chime in about reagan here). i think that questioning the direction of our country as a whole is stirred up by healthcare. it's not that idea that makes those town haller people ignorant persay, it's the fact that these same people said nothing when bush hijacked 750 billion. they said nothing about hali-burton. only a few said something about the border, because let's face it, alot of republicans voted for bush because they thought he'd be better for defense, in which bush failed miserably. we were just lucky to not get attacked again under his watch.

I recently moved. But where I was from in Cali, the town just south of me had a 'random' DUI check point this spring. Their quota was to pull over and check 250 cars. Out of the 250 cars/drivers pulled over that night, more than 180 did not have a driver's license and were released without so much as a warning. The news article did not go so far as to say they were Mexican illegals, but that's exactly what they were. The newspaper didnt even have the balls to act like this was a problem, just a statistic to bury at the bottom of an article talking about a DUI check point. Sickening. A friend of mine was t-boned by an illegal immigrant with no license, his car totalled, his family (including new-born) sent to the hospital. He witnessed the cops release the immigrant while my friend was being loaded into the ambulance. Guess whose insurance had to pay for the totalled car.

Nope. I didnt claim this. I only said they were the most effective and successful. They take it a lot further than anyone else.

Their editing pictures to make people less attractive is a prime example of them trying to influence people in the basest and most subliminal ways possible.

that's exactly what it means, from both sides. politics is cut throat, just like business is. we need the media, but they have been corrupted with mixing politics with business. GOP is probably partly funding rupert murdoch (fox), if not directly, probably through shadow companies. jeff immelt is one of obamas advisors and he owns nbc. not to mention GE is in bed with obama. i wonder who the biggest energy company and health care company in the world is? when the fvck is someone important enough going to ask these questions?

people have a fundamental misunderstanding about how these bills are written, how many changes are made, and the difference between a bill currently being written, and one that actually passes through the senate. i wonder if people read the patriot act in it's infancy?
