I am aware of how the system works now, but it could be changed. The ER registry cannot tell them to see another hospital or tell them that treating their ailment would be better served by a PCP. It's against state law to do so.
I cannot say that I have been to the ER recently. My ex used to work at one and said the wait is long because of homeless/mental people and people who should have seen a PCP (cold, flu, heartburn, toothache, etc). By law, the ER has to "treat" them, but they just kick the out on the street afterwards.
I am not understanding the time it takes at an ER vs PCP. An ER, is (in theory) immediate care whereas visits with my PCP are usually 3-4 days out. I don't think people are waiting days in the ER, or are they? I don't know.
not really. It's o.k to want to save the world but the dude took it to far plain and simple.
remember our conversation the other day?I don't get those channels. I don't even know who he is.
one of my ex's used to do that. im like bish why even eat if your gonna puke it back up, let me eat it next timethey probably stuck their finger down their throats when they got home too
I am not sure how many people will be okay with hospital staff being given the authority of a gatekeeper on who has an emergency and who doesn't. If I go to a walk-in clinc, I can get treated the same day. If I go to my family doctor, it takes a couple days unless I am willing to sit there all day in hopes of a cancellation.I am aware of how the system works now, but it could be changed.
i never wait 3-4 days to see a pcp. I cant honestly think of a time i didnt get in same day. I dont usually care what doctor i see though.
I have waited a long time in ERs. It all depends on the ER, how busy they are, and how serious they deem your ailment. If you have a cold and they have people from car wreck, strokes, heart attacks, ect come in after you..you're going to wait a long *** time... I cant really think of any time i was in an ER for less than 3-4 hours.
nom nom nom!one of my ex's used to do that. im like bish why even eat if your gonna puke it back up, let me eat it next time
whats.with.people.who.dont.put.a.space.when.they.use.a.period.or,comma,?surely someone from CANADA can chime in on this one.Theses "protesters" are protesting national health care based on the other countries that have it.Supposedly, you have to wait a long time to get to see a doctor, you get medicine that is NOT quality inspected, and the elderly get leftout completly. Also small buisnesses will have to cover their employees with this government care or else get a hefty fine. This will cause alot of small businesses to lay off people or completely shut down, adding to the record unemployment problems. I hate we have such a divided country,I just want to raise my kids in a good world where we have the freedom to follow our dreams, whatever they may be.buying subs and amps,or dreaming of world travel, I hope this whole econemy dont implode on itself. We owe china too much money to count from all the bonds they hold.hopefully they wont want to cash them in any time soon.
pics of ur ex puking?one of my ex's used to do that. im like bish why even eat if your gonna puke it back up, let me eat it next time
Common practice? You're being a bit overdramatic here. The stimulus funding is the notorious bill falling into this category. While I do agree that was outrageous, to say it is common practice is just a flat out lie.Its been proven that many times our govt employed representatives who VOTE on these bills dont even read them. Its become common practice to issue a lengthy bill for review one minute before midnight, the night before the vote, giving congress zero chance to thoroughly review the bill. Is this any better or worse than misinformed citizens protesting what they THINK the bill consists of? How about the senator or congressman who goes on CNN or Fox News to argue for or against a bill, that they know next to nothing about?
This is what our govt has become. This is how it operates. On ignorance. Is that the fault of the citizens? If ignorance of legislation is so rampant and such a big problem these days, why does our govt not work towards opening avenues of education for this legislation? Because they deal in ignorance, its their stock in trade.
Well they already do it when they rank emergencies according to immediate need. It's not a take a number system where they treat people in order. You're not going to get seen because you need a tetanus shot when you stepped on a nail while the guy with a bullet hole waits.. they are gatekeepers already.I am not sure how many people will be okay with hospital staff being given the authority of a gatekeeper on who has an emergency and who doesn't.
i dont see one single family doctor.. instead i just use one of a few different clinics with multiple doctors.. i just call up and tell them i want to be seen and they fit me in someplace with some doctor. If I go to a walk-in clinc, I can get treated the same day. If I go to my family doctor, it takes a couple days unless I am willing to sit there all day in hopes of a cancellation.
