Whats sad is I'm betting a good portion of the idiots in this country just believe the crap they hear and turn around and repeat it, infecting more idiots with stupidity...
i guess it just comes down to which side of the tracks you are on as to who the idiots and stupid people are. I mean if you think the current state of the US is something this presidency should be proud of when they leave office then there really is no point in discussing anything further with you - you as everyone else in your click will chalk it up to conspiracy theories and treehugging hippies.

I'm way better off than I was 8 years ago....

where do you think the ignorance starts from
Bad parenting, no discipline, the lack of morals, poor education, ever existing greed, conspiracy theorists, idiots who cant think for themselves and those that just dont give a shit is a pretty good start. But I could go on and on....

lol, i love idiots that think the president controls the gas prices.

Do you not think regional instability has anything to do with gas prices?

Do you not think that the weakened dollar has nothing to do with the price of a barrel of oil?

What impact does the billions of dollars the war is costing have on the price of the dollar on the world market?

I'm not saying Bush has a magic 'raise the price of gas' button on his desk but to claim none of his policies have impacted the price of gas and weakened the dollar seems more than a little foolish to me.

add a lack of personal responsibility to that list and I think you pretty much have it summed up.

hey, then I guess nothing else matters. I mean a society of people that only cares about themselves is definitly something to be proud of; and to think that this country would be a better place if the mentality of bettering society as a whole were the norm is just plain ludicrous - as you would have it be the rich get richer and the poor get poorer - the basic fundamentals of republicans.

Its foolish to think that one man runs the country is the point i'm making. It takes a whole lot more than just one man to make the decisions that have led to the above.

Not saying that one man can't make a difference...just saying responsibility lies in more than just the head office.

Lucky for democrats and people that want to live off of my earnings I only get one vote...

If you don't think the president of the united states steers policy and has an impact on the direction our country takes you might need to go back and take some government classes.

This is especially true of the current administration where for the first 6 years there was a pretty much NO congressional oversight at all by the GOP led congress, which ramrodded the cowering democratic minority.

This administration was extremely savvy in using rhetoric and propaganda to accomplish its political goals and made the most effective use of the bully pulpit in many many years.

kthnxbuy.

And the last 2 years have been much better with a Dem led congress?

...and not saying the President doesn't steer policy....but he doesn't bear sole responsibility to our current situations.

The democratic majority is still afraid of the administrations tactics because they were so fukkin successful.

This administration succeeded in getting its way on just about everything of consequence.

yeah ok.. well thats like saying that Hitler doesn't bear sole responsibility for the holocaust.

I mean he did have some henchmen.

Its a pretty poor argument designed to displace blame and ignore the obvious, that it wouldn't have happened except under the leadership from the top.
