Its sad because the democrats will lose the general election.

McCain will reinvent himself as the Maverick candidate that he was when he lost the primary to Bush in 2000. He will emphasize his environmental positions and downplay his stance on the war pitching it as 'the surge is working', which it sort of is, and he advocated for long before it went into action. If he is smart he will also choose a female VP, which is rumored. The combo will draw just enough middle aged independent voters to bring him the election.

Obama's youth vote will disappear as he suffers one GOP attack after another. Stories like his preachers, his wife being ashamed of America, and his ties to shady Chicago politics, will dominate the news until the idealistic college students view him as just another politician and don't turn out to vote on election day.

Its sad that after such a huge failure by a GOP administration we will most likely have another one, when the democrats should have had this one in the bank.

If he met with leader's of terrorist nations and let the family members of the of the leader of the terrorist group who was responsible for the attack of 9/11 leave the country immediately after - then you might have an arguement as to if or if he is not a terrorist - but those are arguements that will help solidify as to the true intentions of those currently in office.
