I swear faulkton if you didn't speak so eloquently and were so persuasive i would think you were an idiot. I was not talking to you. I was talking to him. He said he most likely entered a window to get into his friends house, and i asked him if he used a crowbar to break into it, or if he kicked down the door LIKE YOU DID.
I know who you were talking to, but that wont matter to the people reading this frantic and hurried thread.

My comment still made you look as if you had been purposely ignoring me.

The law says if someone is breaking into your house and stealing your shit, then you can kill them.
So the law disagrees with you.

I'm not saying that you should go next door and shoot people... I'm talking about defending your own home and household.

And anyone who breaks into someone's home to steal shit knows that getting shot and killed is a distinct possibility... thus, they judged that the possessions in question were indeed worth more than their own lives. So they've already made that decision, and it's been proven to be correct in this case.

" no person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of the law"

so i guess your wrong. The law says you can't kill somebody.

When they are breaking into your house or stealing your property (in some states, such as Texas), yes, you can.

Do some more research... many many many states say you can kill in such a situation.

What you're talking about is a person who is arrested and suspected of a crime, not one who is killed during the COMMISSION of a crime.

look faulkton.

Here's were i stand.

Should he have shot them (from a MORAL standpoint) YES.

should he have shot to kill? NO.

should he be tried for murder (from a moral standpoint)? NO.

should he be tried for murder (from a legal standpoint?) Depends. 1st degree, no, lesser offenses yes.

i hope you know where that law is from.

what are they gonna do about it? They have no idea who took it, no way of proving they stole it from me and no leads whatsoever.
You have no proof that your dad's first camera belongs in your family? How do you know that specific person stole it? You could have at least tried? At least the guy that shot the to burglars called the police first. Go get your camera back, and say, "this sh*t belongs to me!"

Next week I'll look forward to seeing you sitting next to O.J. in the courtroom

maybe you haven't realized there are many contradictions in laws.
