Did you even listen to the 911 call?
After the 911 operator begged and ordered him not to go outside, he cited a recent change in law regarding a right to shoot an intruder, and went out there with the intent of shooting them.
that he did. i don't know the details of that law, but it's not for a neigbor to go over there and shoot them. it's for is someone brakes into your house that you have the right to shoot them. then hell yea, if that was the case, i'd shoot away to.

I never condoned stealing...
haha... alright... what are you the anti-robocop? If the only way i could stop you was to shoot you.. .i still wouldn't have to shoot to kill... sh*t... you might have just been having a bad day... you need some rehab after all that... so i'd just temporarily disable you... but... lets say i called the police before i was about to shoot you... and then they said they were almost there... and right after i shot you in the butt... they saw me with a gun out pointed at you... (i'm black)... i'm down... 41 shots fired... you're disabled... i'm dead
Okay... you shoot me in the *** and I sue you for every penny you have. Thats how the legal system works in America. It's not right, but it has happened. And to continue... lets say that anything but a fatal shot would not stop me from ruining your life. Still not going to shoot for the kill?

Reason this pisses me off so much? Friend got robbed... good bit of items in the house WERE business inventory in the process of being moved -- temporary location. They weren't covered. So, guess who gets to pay the bill on interest bearing money owed to investors? Guess what legal system let the only suspect post bail and skip town twice?

No, I don't think stuff is more valuable than a life. But, I also don't put the same value on the life of a criminal as a "regular" person.

probably climbed through the window and openned the front door? why would i break the window or door? it still can have the appearance of a break in
he said he saw the crowbar and the broken window. I'm not sure (don't quote me), but i also think he said he saw them break the window.

SO again, i ask, did you break a window with a crowbar or kick down a door to get in?

what the f*ck?... even if u sued me... and took money from me... hell yes it would ****... but was it worth your life... NO

Using a hyperbole to try to make your point, but its more like comparing apples to oranges.
The two murdered men were in no position to ruin the life of the man who shot them. He went OUT OF HIS WAY to confront and shoot them.
True. He went out, told them to stop -- they didn't. From the sound of it they approached him as well. Stopping would have prevented any death that day from the sounds of it.

I guarantee 100% that your tune would change if that was real. Don't lie to yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And maybe if someone approached you with a gun and told you not to move or he'd kill you, you might take him seriously????
Who knows. I might run if i saw some creepy fatty like that guy with a gun. In fact i am almost certain i would.

This guy knew the conditions, he was very familiar with his neighbor and what was going on.
And how do you know this?

These weren't friends going in the window, that was obvious from the tape. He also warned them not to move or he would shoot, they moved, he shot. Didn't sound like he just went out guns blazing.
You're confusing hypotheticals and examples of why allowing this type of behavior is bad, with believing they apply specifically to this case.

One more thing, i thought you were leaving?

I knew i could draw you in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i'm not lying to myself... you have some f*cked up morals if you would really take a life because you were losing material possessions... suing for money still equals material possessions... i'd go broke and homeless if it meant someone didn't have to lose a life... why? cause i can get that sh*t back over time

I already told you, several times, that i have kicked in my parent's front door. It was also within a few weeks of moving into that house, so no neighbors knew who i was.

Well, anyone who is in the process of breaking into someone's house, stealing their shit, crawling out the window with a bag of loot and is confronted in the yard by someone with a gun tell them to stop or die.... and still chooses to run... probably can be blamed for their own death. IMNSHO.

I'm gonna head out now -- it's moving so fast I have to go back after posting each time to figure out WTF happened *laughs*

Anyhow... to sum it up.

Ideally, I don't think he should have shot to kill them. I do think that shooting them to injure would have been better, except that our legal system is gay and he probably would have ended up worse off doing that, legally. Being that he did shoot and kill them... I can't see calling it murder being that they were in the midst of a criminal act. Is it ideal to have vigilante justice? No, I agree. But it happened that way this time -- and I don't agree that it should be called murder. And again... it's not an ideal situation, but humans are involved it never will be.
