who the hell thought this was a good idea? I would kill someone if they gave my child birth control at school without my consent, because essentially they are telling my child that its okay to have ***, so long as you are "safe." The schools are also telling the kids that it's okay to not listen to their parents and to not discuss *** with parents.

Schools are supposed to educate students into being analytical thinkers capable of making good, responsible decisions. How in the hell is having *** at 11 responsible?

But you have this belief that they are not already having ***. It is because they are already having ***, people wish them to be safe.

They do not give helments to those who don't ride bikes, but they do give helmets away to children who do ride bikes. Are these people "pushing" children to ride bikes? Obviously not. If they didn't have a bike, they wouldn't need a helment.

nobody was fucking whe i was in 6th grade, thats totally fucked up to give birth control to a 6th grader. I would be pissed if my sister/future daughter/whatever was given birth control at school. Why can't we teach abstinence? scare the living shit out of kids, make them think you can get AIDS from even thinking about ***.
also, wouldn't the birth control mess up a girl's hormones and cause development problems that young?

and if the kids are having ***, we need to evaluate that problem and find a way to cut down on the ***, not promote it with condoms. I know that if I were in sixth grade and my school was handing out condoms i would go to the nurse and get some, because I thought it was cool. I then would have tried to use them. Kids think *** is good and cool, that is what we need to change. Birth control should be left to the parents and their family doctor

I guess it depends if you think your child will have *** because condoms are available or if you think they would have *** either way.
