And that right there shows you have never taken a statistics class. Am I right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Of course I am.
Even statisticians admit that statistics can be manipulated to suit an agenda.

You are starting to wade in over your head, perhaps you should swim back towards shore.
hahaha

I never said statistic couldnt be manipulated (this is where i would normally insult you, but you've earned some respect today).

I just said they were data.

Simply observations.

I would guess that i have more statistics and methods experience than you do unless you hold an advanced degree in either subject.

well if you convinced 100 with your crap than i probably reached tens of thousands with all my posts today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
i doubt either of us reached even a single forum member arrogant al. i was kidding, but i suspect you aren't.

every corporation gets tax breaks. the only way fedex, DHL and ups make profit is overseas shipping, which the post office doesn't do, but they have to keep an american base using national shipping. we should have a debate on eliminating the post office completely, except for federal/state government institution to institution mail. and military mail. let the private sector do it. we'd probably end up sending letters for 20 cents by slowly eliminating it.
Ok.. well what about the link?

Taxpayers covered 23.3% of postal costs in 1971. A subsidy of that level in 2007 would have been approximately $16.9 billion. But direct subsidies to the USPS were phased out between 1972 and 1982. Today the USPS is funded entirely by revenues from postage.

for someone with your level of education, i'm disappointed in your grasp of your own political party's agenda. maybe you should read the books from which their ideas were spawned. you seem like the type that might enjoy "animal spirits". i don't, but you might. manipulating economics. you might find some of it relevant to todays political maneuvering . rules for radicals is almost required reading. you might read it and get a different feel for the agenda than i do. the tactics are the same and never change. the delivery of the tactics is subjectively loose.

And I find it impossible to believe you have much statistical analysis experience if, when presented with the idea that statistics can be manipulated to suit an agenda, your reply is that statistics are 'data', implying they are raw facts, which they most certainly are not. Or, were you just stating they are 'data' in a benign reply that didn't address my point at all? Come on man, as someone said earlier, I feel more and more intellectual dishonesty creeping into your replies each time I read one.

surely someone from CANADA can chime in on this one.Theses "protesters" are protesting national health care based on the other countries that have it.Supposedly, you have to wait a long time to get to see a doctor, you get medicine that is NOT quality inspected, and the elderly get leftout completly. Also small buisnesses will have to cover their employees with this government care or else get a hefty fine. This will cause alot of small businesses to lay off people or completely shut down, adding to the record unemployment problems. I hate we have such a divided country,I just want to raise my kids in a good world where we have the freedom to follow our dreams, whatever they may be.buying subs and amps,or dreaming of world travel, I hope this whole econemy dont implode on itself. We owe china too much money to count from all the bonds they hold.hopefully they wont want to cash them in any time soon.

Well, Im from Canada and I think our system is pretty good. I dont use my Medicare card often coz luckily Im in good health. However, it does give you piece of mind knowing that if you get into an accident or something and break a leg or need surgery, its free. You just show up at a hospital and give them your card. Pregnacies are totally free as well. What we hear on the news from the States is pretty scary. Also, please dont put too much into ads that have a Canadian going to the U.S. for treatment. Im sure it happens, but they are just hand picking people to make the system here look bad.

We also have family doctors to make appointments with. Thsi is also free.

But, of course, our taxes are higher so its not all "free". But since its in the sales tax or whatever, you dont notice it as much, but still paying into it in a way.

The wait times are long at times, but nothing too severe. Not what they portray it on TV. If you make an appointment, then youll get in faster than someone who shows up on their door, unless its an emergency.

What is the average state tax in the U.S. , around how much?

omg going over and over this is boring and tedious.
If you want to believe that Sanford wont win just because CNN stated the obvious, and that it had nothing to do with his own actions and how his base feels about that, you just keep believing that and we will disagree.
And you boiling the entire discussion down to CNN was merely stating the 'obvious' again shows your bias blinds you to my points.
My point had nothing to do with whether or not he will win, and had everything to do with the media's double standard of when personal relationship should and should not affect our view of a politician. We wouldn't have to keep going over and over this point if you would stop dodging it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

the rate at which postage has risen, in correlation with staying "budget neutral" is a stat i want to see

State tax is merely one tax we pay. There's also federal income tax, sales tax, tobacco tax, gas tax, etc. They keep it complicated so the average guy doesn't realize just how much tax he really does pay. Not to mention double-taxation. It pisses me off Im taxed on my income, and what's left gets taxed again when I spend it. But that's another argument for another thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
