Who Has Limo Tint on their cars.....any Legal Problems yet?

I dunno, Its a mixed blessing. I had 5% on my old truck and it was sweet dont get me wrong. But lets say, if you might not want to draw attetion to yourself from the police it could be bad. Its an excuse to get pulled over and get your car checked out. Kinda like a broken tail light. But when i got pulled over, i just got a warning.

35% Front

15% All around back

5% Tint Strip

35 and the tint strip are legal. I was told the Rear wasent legal at 15%. Online and cops i've talked to all said rear here is legal. So I don't know.

In any case You can barely tell the diff between the 15% and 30%

Georgia sucks.

I've got 5% on my rear doors and the rear "windshield" if you will. Been pulled over for it (that's what I was told anyway) 3 times now including one where the Dep. Sheriff that stopped me pulled the old Tint-O-Meter out of his car and verified that it was too dark to be in complicance with Louisiana's tint regulations.

Thus far, *knock on wood*, I haven't been actually ticketed for it yet.

My Explorer has factory tinted glass (about 20%) on all but the front two windows, and I put limo (5%) all the way around. I haven't been stopped yet, but I know it's just a matter of time. I have a place that I can get inspected at, so no worries there. I've been with people around here when they've gotten tickets for it. In Texas you can tint all but the fronmt two as dark as you want. Hell, I think you could paint them black if you really wanted. I believe the fronts have to be 20% or brighter. It might even be 35%.

I've got 5% all around and have never been pulled over for it, if a cop pulls up next to you just roll your window down.

yea u just go to a friendly carshop:naughty: to get isnpected. but vehicles around here in houston have black tint. i got mine tinted in mexico for like 20 bucks, i think its like10% for the back 3 windows and like 15-20% on the front two. once u get lower in texas like mcallen, tint is black all around

no tickets yet so i'm straight:rolleyes:

i have 5% all around(soon to be double 5%) and 5% on my entire windshield, no problems yet...cops dont care in Florida really, unless they are jerks. ive posted pics on here somewhere if u wanna see just search my posts, cuase im at school and cant post pics now...but its dark!

I am thinking about putting limo tint on the back half of my car and 15% on the front....the back half is legal in ILL. but the front is not...anyone else have problems with Cops doing this anywhere else? Or hear of people having problems with tint on the front?
It never really is a problem unless a cop thinks you are a jackass. I live in NW Suburbs of Chicago, and for example, a friend with a brand new 2006 Audi has full limo tint, nothing else just a completely clean ride, and he has never been ticketed for it. Another friend with one of the Escalade hatches on 22s with spinners has been constantly been ticketed for his tints...

That is just where I live, other places they never do, other places they always do. I do not see the use of tints anyway...I like my ride and I like to be seen in my ride.
