Who Has Limo Tint on their cars.....any Legal Problems yet?

I am thinking about putting limo tint on the back half of my car and 15% on the front....the back half is legal in ILL. but the front is not...anyone else have problems with Cops doing this anywhere else? Or hear of people having problems with tint on the front?

I have been stopped 3 times since I got my windows done ~ ostensibly each time I was being stopped for too-dark tint. Each time they put their tint-o-meter machine on the windows and did the ole "Yeeppp. Them's too dark, sir," bit with me.

After verifying the paperwork on my car and checking the status on my CCW (gotta tell a cop you're carrying if you get stopped....bad things can happen if they find out by accident or surprise) they've let me go with a warning each time.

I'm guessing they just wanted a psuedo-legit reason to stop me and look things over was all. *knock on wood* I haven't actually been given a ticket yet...

Yea but 15% isnt dark enough to do the purpose that needs to be done.... 5% and nobody can really see into the car. Thats a lot more secure. Plus why do 15% when 5 is legal.

uhh.... i have 15 on my 4 doors, and limo on back... onlything is getting inspections, i had to get it done and he told me i would fail cause of it, but since i have been doing business with him for years he said i dont care u passed everything else.

I have 5% over 20% on all my windows and 35% on my front winshield. Have had it for almost a year now and never been stopped for tints. I guess you can say ive been lucky I know of people that have been stopped around here for tints though.

As long as you dont live in northern wisconsin .. the state troopers up here are complete jerkoffs.. I got pulled over for no plate and he also gave me a ticket for tint ( 35% ) .. Rediculous, you can see straight through at that light . O well this is'nt the first time , bad news is now he knows my new car

I have 5% over 20% all the way around on my tahoe and haven't had a problem yet *knock on wood* Local police and sherriffs don't have meters only troopers so when i see one i just usually role my front windows down. But if your gonna go dark go nothing less than at least 5% all the way around. After going with it i know ill never go with anything else
