There would be no "bandwagon" if the type R didn't perform. It performs and its extremely cheap, what more do you want?

There is a bandwagon...It goes something like this..."What sub should I get?" TYPE R ITS THE BEST

F it the list would never end. Ill admit it performs well in your ride and in a few others. Again, nothing aginst the speaker, it is what it is. I am against the BS bandwagon, just as I was against the RE and SS bull crap bandwagons where the speakers is the end all to all audio.

Pay 1000+ for a stroker pro... maybe it will have comparable performance once you stack on 3x the power?

I dont want a stroker pro, I dont want an R. I am happy with what I have. You boys are no better then the RE bandwagon. Remember go type R or go home...Its Teh Best!!!

Yeah type r's hit very good and sq is off the chain. I am sure you can get 2 type'rs off the net cheap and then go with that amp box combo that tony is talking about. I am sure you will be more than happy.

yes they do 500watts rms but can take alot more. very underrated as far as rms goes. I have 1100 going to them and they talk shi t to me like is that all you got?

Usually, there is a reason a sub or subs are the 'local boner', because they perform. Being against something just because its the current bandwagon item is just as bad as being for it just because its the current bandwagon item.

To each his own my man, to each his own. I recomend the subs that I think will work in the space/vehicle. Its not one sub. I have a few that I like, boner no. I am willing to try out any sub. My time constraints me, hence I stay in the general section or the lounge.

I've never seen Mark, or any of the other Type-R boner starters say the R is the end all be all subwoofer. They've only stated what they've experienced in their setups and their time playing with the subs in question.

Also there is a difference in performing and performing the best in EVERY application. I once asked about a sub to use in my truck. Without even having a chance to list my requirements or specifications many, many subs that wouldnt work for me were listed. This is a boner/bandwagon. I definatly wasnt pinpointing him. I was talking about the countless others that get caught up in the madness then wonder why their precious sub isnt performing how everyone on the forum told them it would, or why the 5kw of power they put on their subs fried the coils.

Your not reading my point. Those are the exact people I am talking about. The ones that have either A)never heard one B) only heard it once C)bash the other sub because they are clueless.

Lets take all the type R vs. L7 threads. So many of them have turned into shit due to the lack of logic when recommending a sub, speaker, amp and so on. I read a scond ago where someone asked...what sub for a 2500d, one reply went along the lines of. "GET A TYPE R THEY BANG MAN!!" without knowing the car, electrical, enclosure specs or room for, there is absolutly no logic behind the post. Those are the type of people that I am *****ing about. I think Mark seems to know exactly what he is doing. Others however I am skeptical about.

2 one old 12 and one new one. But like I said. I have nothing against the speakers. I am however against all the unbacked/uneducated recomendations on them.
