Which Sub?

I'm looking into getting 1 or 2 12" subs in a sealed box. I am going for about 50% sq and 50% spl. I have looked at many, but don't know which would be the best for a sealed box on 500-650 or 750-900 watts depending on the amp I get. So far I have found these:

Sub: JL 12w6v2, SSA Gcon, Fi X/SSD, Alpine Type R, SA-12, Obsidian 12, SDC 2.5

Open to any suggestions.

must you go sealed? if so the best bang for ur $ may be a single 15'' SSD with the high Qt option on 1-1.2k

2- 12s sealed- look into SSA dcons on 800-900w

For sealed, we usually suggest the SSA Gcon's. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't want to run 1000+ because it is going on a stock electrical. I am looking at 2 amps, Alpine MRV-M500 (500w @ 2ohms) and the Rockford Fosgate R750-1D (750w @ 1ohm).

How many watts minimum would you use on an Fi Q
There isn't a "minimum". Underpowering a sub is actually good because it gives you more headroom.

I'm not sure how they like sealed enclosures, but the Incriminator Flatlyne is also a great 'SQL' subwoofer.

Also make sure to mount the sub inverted and wire out of phase so if anything goes wrong, you'll be able to smell it... Literally

I was just wondering how much power I would need to get a Fi Q moving good if the rms is 1500
Doesn't need much, there are plenty of people running 500-700ish, so there is no need to feel pressed to throw 1500 at it. Build a more efficient box and save on current draw. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

This. Contrary to popular belief, box rise is your friend sometimes. It means your enclosure is more efficient.
