which sub?

I'm upgrading my system this summer and have been looking at which subs to get. I have decided on 2 15"s. i haven't however decided which ones. My goal is an extremely loud but good sounding system. i want like 60/40 spl/sq. i really enjoy my two type r 12's but just want something louder. as for an amp that is not important at the moment i will chose amp(s) to match subs. as for the electrical system and all that it is being upgraded first and will be suffiecient to handle the new install (1/0 power wire, 2 yellow tops, high output alt.) i have enough space to get around 8 cubic feet maybe a little more if i get creative. i want to stay under $300 shipped for each sub. I am looking at the 15" l7s and pretty much had my mind made up, but then i saw the 15" rlp and like the looks of it. which one of these two do you recomend? and are there any other subs to consider? thanks for the help

the only downside i have heard of to the l7 is that it is supposedly not a very good sounding sub, but i don't know how true that is

It's true L7 is moslty for spl, But ive heard some L7 is loud & sound good, it's all depend on your install.

what is a good tuning freq. for a 15" l7? my r's are tuned to 33 and it sounds awesome to me. i basically want to get louder but not loose any of the sound quality i allready have. also do you know the xmax of an l7 i haven't been able to find it. i know the rlp is almost 25mm

the only reason i'm considering the rlps is because i know they will sound good. Which sub do you think is louder? i know it's install dependent, but is one sub a louder sub or are they compareable?

the L7s of the past have been considered spl subs but the 06 line has an almost totally redesigned sub and it supposedly has improved sq (havent heard one for myself so i cant really say). rl-p's are also a very good idea. u might be able to find a used MT for around that price but ull also need a serious upgrade on the amp(s)
