Isnt the Dcon more of a sealed sub? I already have a ported box

I would definitely go with the SoundQubed sub. You get the most bang for your buck from them.
Its been a while since you posted on the thread? Did something happen?

also, A properly powered HDS3 in 2.5cu feet hits hard. Trust me! Its my setup lol and its definitely a budget system if you look at the big picture!

Yeah its been a while lol I was gonna buy an sa 12 but im down to a budget sub again:/ .. Yeah but I only have about 800 rms so the hds3 would be pretty underpowered

Really depends on the box I think. I mean a 15 or 18 is going to get lower then a 12.

The box is pretty similar to yours actually .. I cant fit something bigger than a 12

They get just as low but they are louder due to cone area which gives you an illusion that larger subs can get lower but infact they dont.

Does that apply to a 10 inch sub aswell? As in it plays just as low bt the 12 is louder?

Really depends on the enclosure and how its tuned. But in ideal situations for both woofers they would perform the same except the 12 will be louder

The Dcon does very well both sealed and ported. The original version leaned much more ported, the current model is more evenly balanced.
